Thursday Thirteen: Places to Go

My topic for this week's thursday thirteen is something I mentioned last week, when I was deliberating about the job. My main hold up about taking it was that I would lose a lot of the travel opportunities that I'm fortunate to have right now. Here are some of the (non-English) places David & I (mostly I!) are thinking about visiting before we leave England:

1. Southern & SW Ireland
2. Scotland (road trip!)
3. Paris, France
4. Normandy, France
5. Krakow, Poland
6. Spain
7. Copenhagen, Denmark (a stop on a cruise we're hoping to take!)
8. Russia (another stop on the cruise!)
9. Isle of Man
10. Switzerland (ski trip!)
11. Brugge, Belgium
12. Donegal, Ireland
13. Hungary

I've also got a list of places to visit within England. I need to add to that list, though, so I'll be taking suggestions! If there's something in England that you think I shouldn't miss, leave it in a comment!

I love everything about Scotland and could go on about it all day. If you can only go to one place, I recommend Edinburgh, but if you can, be sure to visit the Orkney Islands. They are amazing!

I've always wanted to go on a bike tour in Ireland. Never been to Scotland, I'm afraid I'd fall for a sexy scot with that amazing accent.

Happy T-13.

I envy your trip. I've never been across the pond. Be sure to take lots of pics to share with us all. Happy T13!

I have been to both Scotland and Paris and I can say unequivocally that you SHOULD GO!!! Go while you can, you'll regret not going when you're back in the states.

Donegal is beautiful. Ireland, period, is beautiful. If you haven't visited Bath, I'd definitely go there before you leave England. And Stonehenge.

Love the list - you definitely need to take advantage of where you are while you can. I loved Brugge even more than I loved Paris! I haven't been to Poland, but I did get to see other eastern European countries (Hungary, Bulgaria and Serbia) - the monastaries are absolutely beautiful!
